Personal Details

Academic background: 

1. Did M.Sc from Calcutta University and Ph.D from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Kolkata (Field of specialisation: Nuclear Structure & Reactions, and Nuclear Astrophysics. In fact, this was the first venture in this country to start doing theoretical studies in the realm of neutron- and proton-rich exotic nuclei).

2. After doing Ph.D, did 3 postdocs from University of Surrey, UK, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata and Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata, in that order. Also, taught the Physics undergraduate students at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK during the post-doctoral tenure.

3. Visited several scientific and research institutes, including Universite' Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium.

4. Was the examiner of a Ph.D thesis at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee,
