The Department of Bengali in Bidhannagar College started its glorious journey in the year 1984. Since then the department has produced a number of good students, scholars and academics who contributed further to the educational system of Bengal and added glory to the college and the department’s history. Prominent academics worked in the department in the past and to this day both research aptitudes and good teaching capability are considered to be the most important criteria for the faculty at this department.
